Not every thumb starts out green, and just because you've struggled to keep plants alive doesn't mean all hope is lost. There are so many attractive herbaceous perennials whose toughness and resilience can't be beat, and these make the ideal plants for a fledgling gardener to gain some experience while still having some beautiful flowers to enjoy.

Join our Horticulture Staff as we go Deeper in the Garden and highlight some of the most forgiving perennials for your garden that can take a clouting and keep on sprouting!
