This workshop will provide an overview of cut flowers for beginner gardeners. You'll learn about what types of plants to grow in your garden for cut flowers, how and when to harvest them for the longest vase life, maintaining a cut flower garden, and basic floral arranging principles.

After learning about growing cut flowers, attendees will practice cutting flowers from the Arboretum's gardens and arranging their very own bouquet to take home!

Youth with a keen interest in cut flower gardening are welcome to register as a participant along with an accompanying paid adult participant.

All materials needed will be provided in the program registration fee. Participants may want to bring a notepad for notes or a camera to take pictures of the plants and arrangements.

Not able to make it Saturday, July 22? Join us for a repeat of this program, Growing and Enjoying Cut Flowers on the evening of Thursday, August 10.
