Triangle Bonsai Expo

Come out and see some great bonsai, as well as some trees still in training, all created by artists who live right here in the Triangle. Club members will be available to answer questions throughout the show.

April 22 (Thursday)
7:30 PM – Friends of the Arboretum Lecture – Harold Johnson, Triangle Bonsai Society – "Bonsai with Native Plants"

Why do bonsaists in Japan use Japanese black pine, Japanese maple, Japanese white pine, etc.? Obviously these varieties are native to Japan. What about using U.S. plant varieties? We'll explore the use of native material for bonsai.

April 24 (Saturday)

April 25 (Sunday)

Cost
Bonsai show on Saturday and Sunday are free, but the FOA Lecture on Thursday is free for Friends of the JC Raulston Arboretum and Triangle Bonsai Society members, NC State University students (with ID), and Department of Horticultural Science faculty and staff, all others $5.00.
