April Family Garden Spot

Garden Activity Kit

Activity and Book Kits are a great way to bring the month's theme alive at home while supporting the JCRA's Children's Programs.

April's Spotlight Theme—Flowers

Flowers are starting to bloom all over the Arboretum and probably in your gardens too! This month's Garden Spotlight Theme is taking a deeper look at the flowers in your gardens and learning more about these beauties.

The April Garden Activity Kit includes a hardback copy of What's Inside A Flower? (And Other Questions About Science & Nature) by Rachel Ignotofsky, a flower press to start your collection of pressed flowers, a pack of marigolds to plant in your garden, and a special creation of pressed flowers and leaves from the JCRA's gardens!

Kits are available for pickup at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC or can be mailed for an additional $10 per kit.
