Family Garden Spot

Garden Spotlight

  • Friday, February 19, 2021 – 10:30 am11:00 am

Keeping our theme going throughout the month, the Garden Discovery resources will guide your explorations outside in your yard, on your walks around the neighborhood, or at a local garden or park. Aimed to teach and spark your family's interest in the month's topic, this free printable resource is available for you to download and print at home. We hope you'll use it to learn and explore together.

February's Spotlight—Birds

One of our favorite things to do in the winter garden is to watch for birds. Do you have any regulars at your bird feeder? Have you ever explored a bird's nest? Go on an adventure with this month's Garden Spotlight printable activity sheet to see what feathered friends are in your yard! Print out your copy of this month's Garden Spotlight and head outside.

Bring February's Theme Alive at Home with a Garden Activity Kit

Families can enjoy a good book together and a fun craft to welcome birds to your garden with this month's kit!

February's Garden Activity Kit contains a copy of "Ruby's Birds" written by Mya Thompson, a bird feeder craft, paints, birdseed and a special JCRA surprise. Limited number of kits are available for $20.00. Shipping is available for an additional fee.
