"Southern California Plants from a Mid-Atlantic Gardener's Perspective"
Eric Evans, Horticulturist, San Diego Botanic Garden

  • Thursday, May 13, 2021 — 7 pm - 8:30 pm

Online

Eric Evans, a horticulturist at the San Diego Botanic Garden, is a recent transplant from Annapolis, Maryland, (Zone 7b) and he shares a few of the plants that struck his eye as a Mid-Atlantic gardener when he began to garden in San Diego. The plants he will talk about come from the Southern California plant trade, public gardens—especially the San Diego Botanic Garden—and personal collection. Eric will describe how, if possible, the plants might be used in Southeastern gardens. If COVID travel restrictions have given you cabin fever about your own garden, you'll enjoy a peek into gardening in a different part of the county!
