Flowering plants have always had a notable influence on the development of horticulture and agriculture. Join us for "A Floral Journey: Discovering the Magic of Flowers." with John Dole as he teaches us about just that! He will discuss how flowering plants are the backbone of horticulture and agriculture and how flowers are integral to our society. John will tell us about the evolutionary history of flowers and how different pollination strategies have shaped flower variations.

About John Dole

John Dole is the associate dean and director of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University (and the former head of the Department of Horticulture Science). He has a colorful history involved with floriculture, specifically the production and handling of cut flowers as well as poinsettias.
