Garden Explorers
Monday, July 9, 2018 through Friday, July 13, 2018 – 9:00 am–3:30 pm
Campers harness exciting technology to become Citizen Scientists and share their findings with the world.
Campers dive deep into the gardens and discover its secrets.
How many bird nests can they find in the gardens? What pollinators can they find? Campers collect and load their findings into on-line databases used by scientists worldwide.
Drawing on the expertise of the arboretum staff and research powerhouse NC State University, Garden Explorers combines technology, outdoor fun, and scientific research in a unique and meaningful program that teaches campers they CAN make a difference.
Enrollment is limited to 16 campers. Campers bring a bagged lunch and snack from home.
