Take a Child Outside week runs annually from September 24 to September 30. The week is an initiative of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences with the goal of "helping children across the country develop a better understanding and appreciation of the environment in which they live."

Each day will bring a new activity for all ages at the Arboretum. Come for one day or every day of the week!

Wednesday, September 30 – Nature Placemats

Bring nature indoors with a set of nature placemats! Your child will have the chance to make placemats with leaves, flower petals, and other natural materials. It's a perfect activity to bring a little bit of fall color inside to enjoy.

All ages!
$3.00 per child, payable at the event.
No advance registration is available. Please join us anytime between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.
