School's Out!

Fairy Garden Madness

Are your students out of school with nothing to do? Let them spend the day with us at the Arboretum for a School's Out! drop off program.

Fall is a magical time in the garden with the changing of leaves and the calm feeling created by the gardens slowing down getting ready for winter. Your students will enjoy spending a day in the garden experiencing this magical time. We will explore the gardens looking for hidden gnomes. Our imaginations will run wild building fairy houses in the gardens with natural material for our magical friends. Students will create a miniature sized gardens to bring a bit of magic home.

This program is open to current 1st through 4th graders. Students need to bring a lunch and snack. This is an outdoor and indoor program. Please dress for the weather.

Current 1st to 4th graders.

Cost

$55.00 per child for member families, $70.00 for nonmembers

Registration

Advance registration is required. Please register online using our registration e-store. Advance registration is required since space is limited to 12 students.

Cancellation

Although we understand that unexpected things happen, cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to event will not receive a refund.

Location

Ruby McSwain Education Center, JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University, 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
