Our sales have a reputation for including hot new introductions, hard to find specialty plants, and our favorite reliable performers. This sale has it all. Our horticulturists have been busy creating an amazing plant list including plants from greenhouses and nurseries around the country!

Japanese andromeda
'Temple Bells' is a compact 3' tall form of Japanese andromeda with hanging racemes of white bells in spring over the evergreen foliage. New growth emerges almost orange, much different than other selections.

Pittosporum tobira 'Kansai Sunburst'
Japanese pittosporum
Brightly-colored cultivar from Japan. Brilliant yellow new growth softens to a creamy edge on evergreen foliage. Fragrant flowers. Reports indicate it may be somewhat tender. Great in full sun to part shade or a container.

Solomon's seal
A classic for the woodland garden, this tough spreading perennial. Pink tinted stalks erupt from the ground before unfurling their variegated foliage on arching stems. Perfect as a foil for hostas, ferns, and azaleas.

Christmas fern
A native evergreen fern that should be grown in any well-appointed shade garden. Deep green fronds stand upright through summer, eventually mostly lying flat in winter. Silvery, unfurling fiddle-heads are especially attractive in spring.

Pulmonaria 'Twinkle Toes'

This beautiful shade perennial will delight you with its impressive spring flowers. After the flowers fade, you can enjoy its dark green leaves that are lightly sprinkled with silver. This plant will thrive in part shade to full shade as long as you provide moisture.

Pycnanthemum muticum
mountain mint
This native herb makes patches of 2' tall stems of glossy, rounded leaves topped with silver bracts and clusters of small pink flowers which are among the best pollinator plants around. We think this is the best species of mountain mint for the garden by leaps and bounds. It is completely deer proof and easy in any garden setting.

Rudbeckia subtomentosa 'Henry Eilers'
sweet coneflower
You've never seen a Black-Eye Susan like this one! Neither had Henry Eilers, a retired horticulturist, who found it growing by some railroad tracks. This perennial has curiously rolled petals that gives them the appearance of quills. The blooms reach 4-6 feet and smell sweetly of vanilla. Oh 'Henry!'

Ruscus aculeatus
butcher's broom
Texture for the garden! Tough green stems have rigid leaves that are actually an extension of the stem that each terminate in a spine. A real garden novelty, since flowers emerge from the middle of the leaf followed by a berry that sits in the middle of the leaf.

Salvia 'Blue by You'

A hybrid between Salvia nemorosa and Salvia pratensis. Excellent winter hardiness and heat tolerance. Repeat bloom several times during growing season when spent flowers are removed. Long, bright blue sterile flower spikes have a long shelf life when cut.
