Plant Research...
Annual and Perennial Plant Trials - All America Selections
The JC Raulston Arboretum serves as a testing site for All-America Selections, an independent non-profit organization committed to identifying award-winning flowers and vegetables. Each year we trial the newest varieties of annuals and perennials from plant breeding programs around the world, evaluate them for their performance in Raleigh's climate and produce PDF trial reports for the All-America Selections comittee. Trials are conducted yearly in beds, containers, and hanging baskets. Past trial reports are available upon request. Email djcarey@ncsu.edu
Tree and Shrub Evaluations at the Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory
In addition to our 10 acre garden, the JC Raulston Arboretum has a 10 acre research plot at North Carolina State University's Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory. There we conduct additional evaluation trials of trees and shrubs. *** Final Text TBD FROM MARK
