Budding Explorers

Curious about nature? Join us for Budding Explorers, a monthly hands-on program.
Youth participants, accompanied by an adult, dive into the natural world through fun activities and garden adventures. Each session ties into the current ecoEXPLORE field season and gives budding scientists the chance to practice real science skills while earning badges and prizes!
- Age
- Suggested for ages 8 to 10 years old.
- Cost
- $8.00 per participant. No cost for accompanying adult.
- Registration
Advance registration is required. Register for this program (opens in a new tab).
Registration is considered complete when payment is received. You will receive a confirmation receipt from notify@cashnet.com when registered.
- Cancellation
Program cancellations can be made up to 72 hours before the program's start date. No refunds will be made after this time. A 15% cancellation fee applies.
To request a cancellation, send an email to the JCRA Education Team at jcraprograms@ncsu.edu with the participant name and program information.

- Meet at the Visitor Center and then move to the Education Yurt as a group. JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University, 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, NC 27606.

- Get directions to the JC Raulston Arboretum.

- Free parking is available at the JC Raulston Arboretum and along Beryl Road.
