An Early Summer Garden Tour

Join us for a special early summer experience at the JC Raulston Arboretum featuring horticulturist and HortTube creator Jim Putnam. Known for its extensive and diverse plant collections from around the world, the JCRA showcases a wide variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and unusual plants that thrive in the Southeast, offering inspiration for gardeners of every level.
During this one-time tour, JCRA horticulture staff will lead small-group tours through the garden, introducing guests to standout plants, unique collections and the JCRA’s role as a nationally recognized public garden for horticulture, plant evaluation and education. Experiencing the JCRA gardens in the evening with our expert staff provides a rare, behind-the-scenes perspective on the garden as it transitions from day to night.
Along the way, participants will have time to interact with Jim Putnam—asking questions, sharing gardening ideas and enjoying conversation with one of gardening’s most engaging voices. Come discover new plants, gain practical gardening insights and experience the JCRA in a more personal and engaging way.
Whether you’re discovering the gardens for the first time or returning to see what’s new, this tour offers a welcoming way to explore and learn from both JCRA staff and Jim Putnam.

- Cancellation
Program cancellations can be made up to two weeks before the program's start date. No refunds will be made after this time. A 15% cancellation fee applies.
