NC State Fall Wellness Day for Students, Staff and Faculty

  • Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – 9:00 am4:30 pm

When we spend time around plants and nature, we just feel better, and there's constantly more and more data being generated to support this claim. In observance of NC State's Fall Wellness Day, we invite students, staff, faculty and everyone else to our gardens for a day of self-care and de-stressing as we emphasize the critical role that interaction with nature plays in our emotional well-being.

Wellness Day flier

There will be self-guided wellness experiences available throughout the day to encourage you to use this day to care for yourself and take advantage of the JCRA as the phenomenal mental health resource for the community that it is.

Self-Guided “Unlocking the Arboretum” Scavenger Hunt

Participate in this self-guided scavenger hunt by scanning QR Codes throughout the gardens. Start at the Visitor Center, where you will find the first QR code and instructions to begin your journey. Follow the clues to discover hidden gems across our gardens, enjoy moments of reflection in nature, and learn something new along the way. By successfully completing the hunt and “unlocking” the JCRA, you can earn a small prize; our way of celebrating your effort to connect with the gardens, a truly phenomenal resource for wellness and mental well-being in our community.
