Holiday Wreath Workshop

Decorate your home for the holidays with a designer wreath that you made at the JC Raulston Arboretum! This holiday workshop will provide hands-on instruction and all the materials needed to create a wreath of your own, including a vast assortment of greens. Participants are also encouraged to bring items for your wreath that will showcase your personal style. Each participant is required to bring garden shears.

Note about wreath sizes:

A small wreath starts with a 12" diameter metal ring as the base. You add plant material of various lengths to the base, so the overall finished wreath size can range from 24" to 28" depending on plant material. Small wreaths are ideal for your standard door.

A large wreath starts with a 16" diameter metal ring as the base. Depending on plant material, the finished size can range from 30" to 36" (sometimes even bigger!). Large wreaths are better suited for larger doors, fences and walls.

Greenery

Please note that all workshops will have the same amount and kinds of greenery; there's no need to worry about missing out!

Age

This workshop is open to adults and youth. Youth are welcome to participate with a caregiver. In this case, the registration fee covers both participants, but only one wreath will be made.

Cost

Small wreath: $80.00 for JCRA Members, $100.00 for nonmembers.

Large wreath: $105.00 for JCRA Members, $125.00 for nonmembers.

Payment covers all supplies needed. The small wreath is ideal for doors while the large wreath is ideal for large doors, fences and walls.

Registration

Registration opens to JCRA Members in August. JCRA Members will receive an email with registration links. Links will be added to the event web page when open to the public.

Advance registration is required. Please register online using our registration e-store. Registration is limited to 15 people and is considered complete when payment is received.

Cancellation

Program cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior to the program's start date. No refunds will be made after this time. A 15% cancellation fee applies.
