Every October, the JCRA's Great Lawn transforms into a plant lover's dream — thousands of plants, all free to members, ready to find new homes. This week on the Midweek Program, join Mark & Sophia as they share a selection of standouts from this year's giveaway. From tried-and-true garden favorites to a few botanical oddities you won't see at the big-box store, these plants are chosen because they thrive here and deserve a place in more landscapes. Whether you're after beauty, utility, or just a dash of the unexpected, this preview will help you spot your must-haves when the giveaway arrives — and remind you why being a member has its perks.
