Camellias are a classic Southern favorite, offering beautiful blooms and food for pollinators at time of year when such things are hard to come by. But with well over 100 Camellia species and tens of thousands of cultivars of C. japonica alone, this elegant genus deserves a closer look. Join Greg & Tim as they go Deeper in the Garden and take a look at the cultural significance, the lesser known species, and a few of their favorite hybrids and cultivars of these flamboyant broadleaf evergreen shrubs.
