Garden Science
Experiments with Soil
Children's Program
- Tuesday, September 10, 2024 — 1 pm - 3 pm
Do you like making sand castles? Mud pies? Pottery? All these things require a most fascinating subject: Soil! But just how much do you really know about dirt? Let's figure out together what types of soil we're surrounded by, where it comes from and why it's so important--to people and plants!

Experiments are a fun way to look for an answer to a question or to test an idea. You may be surprised to find that you are more than able to answer many of the questions you have by yourself or together with friends.
Join us for Garden Science this fall where together, we’ll design and complete a variety of hands-on plant experiments to learn about the scientific method and get some down and dirty answers to all our questions!
Garden Science is a series of programs for students to dive deeper into a garden topic. Each week's program is a stand alone program, but it's more fun to come to all of them! Meet new friends and spend some time in the garden learning.
Join us for other Garden Science programs this fall!
