Plant-lover's Tour

"Trees You Wood Use"
Mark Weathington, Director

  • Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – 1:00 pm2:00 pm

The JC Raulston Arboretum is full of many exciting and unusual tree species whose usefulness goes beyond the ecological services they provide. Sure they give us shade on a sunny day, and provide food for pollinators and birds, but they also provide wood that can be worked and used for so many different purposes. Who knew? Join us for this Plant-lover's Tour where our Director, Mark Weathington, a dabbler in woodworking himself, will take us around the garden and tell us all about some of his favorite trees with the most useful and workable wood.
