We love talking to our fellow plant nerds! Jon Roethling is the Director of Reynolda Gardens, a formal garden maintained around the historic estate of tobacco magnate R. J. Reynolds in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Jon has been spearheading the restoration of Reynolda Gardens since joining with them in 2018, but he also has an extensive horticultural background, including cutting his teeth here at the JC Raulston Arboretum as a Research Technician over 20 years ago. Join us for this Garden Conversation where our Director of Horticulture, Greg Paige, will sit down with his old friend Jon to talk all about formal gardening, garden restoration, and public horticulture.
