Blink and you might miss them! Only appearing above ground while the season is starting to warm, and going dormant by the time the trees leaf out, herbaceous spring ephemerals can be important food sources for pollinators and other wildlife at a time of year when other plants have yet to wake up. On top of all that, they make the perfect accent for your woodland garden and provide that spark of serendipity at the end of winter to revivify your love for the outdoors. Join us for this Midweek with Tim, where our research technician, Tim Alderton, will highlight some of the fleeting flowers you might spot out in the woods this time of year, and give you some tips for growing them in your own garden.
