When you first hear about tissue culture it sounds like something out of Science Fiction, and as you continue to learn more, it begins to sound more like something out of a Wizard's grimoire. Regardless of how outlandish it might seem, generating whole plants from the tiniest samples of existing specimens is a very real, and very practical way of producing vast quantities of quality plants and making them more easily obtainable by the home-gardener. Join us for this special Midweek program, where NC State's Plant Propagation Professor, Lis Meyer, shares with us the basics of tissue culture in order to gain a better understanding and help demystify this curious process.
