We love talking to our fellow plant nerds! Bobby Mottern is the Director of Horticulture at Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham, NC, and a long time friend of our own Director of Horticulture here at the JCRA, Greg Paige. While you may assume there must be ferocious competition amongst all the marvelous public gardens in our area, this couldn't be further from the truth. With our unique missions, plant pallettes, and approaches to gardening, this diversity of perspectives only serves to strengthen the Horticultural Hotspot that is the Research Triangle Area. Join us for this Garden Conversation where Bobby and Greg sit down in the garden and have a delightful conversation about the importance of public horticulture, the virtues of cooperation, and any number of topics that may pop up among old friends!
