Plant-lover's Tour

"Cut Greens for Decorating"
Mark Weathington, Director

  • Tuesday, December 5, 2023 – 1:00 pm2:00 pm

Blooms in December can be few and far between, which would be unfortunate if flowers were the only beautiful aspect of a plant. Lucky for us, the beauty and splendor of plants is as diverse as the plant collection at the JCRA, and our garden is bursting with plants that not only look great in the garden in winter, but perform nicely in wreaths, garlands, and limitless other arrangements. Join us for this Plant-lover's Tour where our director Mark will take you around the Arboretum and show you the plants you'll want in your landscape to take your winter decorations to the next level!

Picea pungens 'Gebelle's' (Golden Spring) Colorado Spruce and Pinus densiflora 'Burke's Red Variegated' Japanese red pine
