Garden Activity Kit

Activity and Book Kits are a great way to bring the month's theme alive at home while supporting the JCRA's Children's Programs.

July's Spotlight Theme—Water

It's hot in the gardens during summer months—almost as hot as the desert! How do plants survive such dry, hot days? Explore the answers this month with us!

The July Garden Activity Kit includes a copy of Cactus Hotel by Brenda Z. Guiberson, a succulent plant from the Arboretum, a rain gauge craft and an insulated cup with a cactus coloring sheet insert and colored pencils.

Kits are available for pickup at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC or can be mailed for an additional $10 per kit. You will be contacted with dates and times to pick kits up when they are ready.
