Carolee Boutique and House and Garden will host an "Enchanted Garden Party" to benefit the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University to raise funds for continuing to improve the American landscape by establishing state-of-the-art teaching and research programs for students, the green industry, and the public. At the event guests may visit with such notable local horticulturists as Julia Kornegay, Ph.D., Pamela Beck, Anne Clapp and Chris Glenn. Carolee will donate fifteen percent of sales to the JC Raulston Arboretum during this event.

The JC Raulston Arboretum "Enchanted Garden Party" benefit will be held on March 5, 2005 from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM. All guests are invited to enjoy refreshments, and to enter a raffle for a chance to win a dazzling crystal Carolee orchid pin; garden items from the Arboretum; a subscription to House and Garden magazine; an autographed copy of Paths of Desire, The Passions of a Suburban Gardener written by Dominique Browning (editor in chief of House and Garden); and more while shopping for a cause! Guests who make a purchase will also receive a shimmering satin zip jewelry case gift and a "garden" goodie bag.

A subtle mix of soft blues and apple greens is the essence of Carolee's new garden collection–a variety of blossoms and garden creatures designed with a mix of glass beads and semiprecious stones. Dazzling crystals blossom into colorful orchids, lilies, dragonflies, and roses adding drama to any occasion.

This is not the first time Carolee has "gone back to nature" for inspiration. The designer was inspired by her own garden for her 1991 jewelry collection "Flowering of America." In 1996, Carolee introduced the first Limited Edition flower pin, a white enamel orchid highlighted with handset crystals. More exotic orchids and iris pins followed. All Limited Edition pins are stamped with the date and seal of authenticity. The new 2005 Limited Edition pin collection will debut at this event and features a dazzling daylily, modern flower, and grapevine cluster.

The JC Raulston Arboretum is a nationally acclaimed garden with the largest collection of landscape plants in the southeast United States. The Arboretum is a living laboratory dedicated to the introduction of new and better-adapted plants for more beautiful, more environmentally sound landscapes, and providing hands-on experience in responsible, creative management of these collections.

Benefits, such as this "Enchanted Garden Party" and membership in the Friends of the Arboretum help support these beautiful gardens and strengthen their teaching, research, and outreach programs. The Arboretum depends on memberships and gifts for most of its operating support.

If you are unable to attend the Carolee event on March 5, 2005, but would like to support the JCRA by making a purchase from the Carolee Boutique, just let the store manager know that you would like your item(s) to be registered during the event from 1:00 PM to 6:00 p.m. Your purchase will then be credited during the event and fifteen percent of the total sales will go directly to the JCRA. What a deal! Thanks in advance for supporting this special partnership event.
